Dubs Alive is proud to release a well balanced pair of classic CIVILIANSOUND! dubs for the second installment of our new single series: 1UP. This talented SF Bay Area producer has been tearing up the broadband on his new SubFM show, Civilized Radio, and has delivered quite the single for his second foray with the Dubs Alive family.
Blazing up with night time heat right from the start, “Midnight Dub” sets the mood for a vibey, dubwise, bonfire lit beach party. Straight bassweight is balanced by driving percussion and up-tempo steppa styled drums. Layers of horns and Civiliansound!’s signature synth design coalesce with the moon’s light while the melody, presented on Marimba, drives the fireside bacchanal.
The essence of daylight cracking the darkness of night is a juxtaposition we rarely frequent. “Morning Light” presents the intertwined energies of dark and heavy rolling sub against modal harmonic skanks. Realizing the finest of Dub & Bass at Dubstep tempo, this energized tune will keep you rolling straight through morning.
